Gratitude Journal New App Updates
Gratitude Journal New App Updates

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we address the issues you've encountered with our app. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Please be assured that we have thoroughly tested the app, and many users have reported no issues. This suggests that the problem may be specific to your device's settings, security, or email configuration.

We want to emphasize that we are not shifting blame or avoiding responsibility. We are genuinely committed to finding a resolution. The app is functioning correctly for other users and works with Apple's latest software.

When troubleshooting our app or any app, it's important to consider the impact of recent operating system updates and privacy features. These updates may automatically hide your email address for enhanced privacy and security. Consequently, our app communicates with a randomly generated email address created by your device, rather than your actual email.

If your device's security settings do not align with your previous choices, that signal can fail. This could explain sudden app closures, launch failures, or logging into the app with your private and hidden email. We understand that this can be confusing or alarming, especially if it seems like your data has vanished. However, the likely cause is related to your device settings; there is no loss of data.

To resolve this, please ensure that your device settings are properly configured and up-to-date. If you continue to experience difficulties, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support for assistance in configuring your security settings. You can customize them.

Hiding your email is meant to protect your personal information and reduce the risk of data breaches or unwanted emails.

We have provided a list of steps to help you eliminate any previous issues and regain access to your content. If you encounter any trouble, please reach out to us at Apple Support as well, explaining that the app isn't functioning and that it's likely related to your settings. They should be able to assist you and adjust them to reflect your security choices.

I value and appreciate your patience as we work towards improving the app and ensuring a seamless user experience.

Together, we will restore your access to the app you love. We understand if you decide to leave due to this experience, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope you will consider returning in the future. Feel free to let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.

Gratefully yours,

Steve

Finding a solution..

It could be as simple as installing the app, powering down your phone, checking for updates, and verifying the email is correct.

As users have followed these steps, it is great to hear what we are back in and that whatever we did worked!

The truth is YOU did the work. You followed the steps or were able to discover your email discrepancy!

Steps to Ensure an App on Your iPhone Works

1. Delete the App: Delete it from your iPhone if you encounter issues with an app. Press and hold the app icon, tap the "Delete App" option, and confirm the deletion.

2. Restart your iPhone: After deleting the app, restart your iPhone to clear any temporary data or background processes that might affect app performance.

3. Check for App Updates: Open the App Store and navigate to the "Updates" tab. You should see 1.8.25 or 1.8.26

4. Reinstall the App: Search for the app you deleted from the App Store and reinstall it. This can help resolve any installation or configuration issues that may have caused the app to malfunction.

5. Update iOS: Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to "Settings," tap "General," and select "Software Update." If an update is available, install it to ensure compatibility and improved app performance

6. Clear App Cache: Some apps accumulate cached data over time, affecting performance. Clear the app's cache by going to "Settings," selecting the app, and choosing the "Clear Cache" option if available. Enable your location to always. This can be changed later

7. Check Network Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data. Poor network connectivity can cause app malfunctions or slow performance.

8. Is your device signed into a work email? Your organization's administrator might have set restrictions.

9. Disable a VPN. If you have a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or proxy enabled, try disabling them temporarily. VPNs or proxies can sometimes interfere with app connections and functionality.

10. Contact Apple Support: If the app continues to exhibit issues, they can provide specific guidance or solutions tailored to any app, especially when it works for 95% of installs

Please pay attention to app updates. Contact us for insights into any existing problems or workarounds and real-time updates.

Contact Apple Support: If all else fails, contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can help troubleshoot the issue and provide guidance specific to your device's settings. If the app continues to exhibit issues, Apple can offer additional guidance or solutions, especially since the App is fully functional, tested, and users are reporting that the app is fully functional.

By following these steps, you can ensure a comprehensive approach to resolving issues with apps purchased from the App Store on your iPhone.

Don’t panic when it appears that all your journal entries are gone. They have not. Your phone is likely hiding your email, and since Apple’s updates and our update, the email your private email devices created appears new to our servers. So you’ve signed into a clean, blank journal, even though you entered your email. Your security settings changed it, and when we responded to that hidden email, your device didn’t deliver the signal. It was protecting you. We have not been able to replicate the app, but the app is working. We are still testing to see if anything in our build is creating these issues but it can't be ruled out that it's in the device settings given that it's appears to be user-specific

Imagine exploring a library filled with books representing your life's memories and gratitude. One day there are roadworks, and you take a different path. There's a new entrance to the library that you accidentally stumble upon. When you enter, you see empty shelves and worry that your stories are lost. But the truth is, your stories are still in the library, just not in that section. It's like accessing the app with a different email—your content is still in a different place. We're here to help you find your stories and restore the joy of using our app.
